February has been busy, busy, busy for everyone here. Brad Anderson and Jason Spinks have been running two wires throughout the month at the Gandy Bridge. This month they’ve wire sawed 1,130 square feet and core drilled (22) 8” diameter rigging holes at 54” deep. We started saw cutting on September 10, 2015 and I’ve not had one complaint from American Bridge about our performance and I couldn’t be happier with everyone’s performance. GREAT JOB EVERYBODY!! Jose Riveria is on the second phase of track sawing at Florida Medical Hospital for Robbins & Morton. Kris Weimern has been core drilling a few hundred 4” diameter by 6” deep hand rail holes the last couple of weeks for Mullet’s Aluminum at DPR’s new high rise building in St. Petersburg. Martin Kelly has been slab sawing 7,000’ of asphalt for Prince Contracting on I-75 in Sarasota getting ready for a SB traffic change at University Blvd. Once the lane shift is complete were scheduled to saw cut and dismantle the 245’ by two lane bridge the sometime in March. Sean Zaccaria has been slab sawing 6” to 18” deep elevated pier for the last couple of weeks for Sonny Glasbrenner. Sonny was awarded the demolition of the existing inverted structure and pier so that new pier construction can start sometime in 2017. Sean and Juwan Wilson have also been track sawing new roll-up doors this month for Bay Area Builders at Jabil Manufacturing. For those of you that don’t know but do know Bay Area Builders there a sister company of Sonny Glasbrenner. James Hardge just finished the core drilling and slab sawing scopes of work at Tampa International Airport for Cross Environmental. We’ve been working there off and on for Cross since early 2015 with only one scope of work left, wire sawing (2) 6’ and (1) 4’ diameter drilled shafts flush to the tarmac at Airside F. James has also been saw cutting the 3rd phase of cafeteria serving lines for Cross and Beck Group with +/- 10 more schools remaining in Hillsborough County. Chris Smith and Clifford Hughes have been busy hand sawing and core drilling jobs all over as well. Dennis Harper has been track sawing pretty much the entire month of Febuary for Tampa Contracting with more to do the middle of this week. Dave Horrell just started a large electric slab sawing and hand sawing project at Bayonet Middle School in New Port Richey for Interbay Electric. Dave will be there a few more days with help from Richard McIntosh concentrating on the skid steer and dump truck removal. Rodney Thomas and Chris Desormier have been doing a fine job as well keeping up with the trucks and equipment. Kelly Bentz has also been doing a superb job in the office and I couldn’t do it without their help. In addition, thanks to Travis Patterson for covering the extra wire sawing jobs going on. Being shorthanded Travis doesn’t mind going out to help cover these projects. ONCE AGAIN GOOD JOB EYERYONE!! #citybythebay #newsworthy
