The first quarter from the City by The Bay had started out stronger than any year before. Although, the Coronavirus pandemic has altered our path slightly, we are thankful to be an essential business and even more thankful that our employees and their loved ones have remained well and safe. Our hearts and thoughts go out to our Nation and all of those who have been so deeply affected by the Covid-19 Virus. While a lot has changed about the world around us, so has the face of our new dump truck driver. Speedy would like to welcome new hire Dino Salinas. Dino will be taking over as our dump truck and bobcat operator. The Operators he has worked with thus far say he shows a good, strong work ethic which has been hard to find especially when filling that position. Dino, we are glad to have you on-board and hope you have a long career with us.On the job front,January and the first half of February Kris Weimern and Cliff Hughes were wrapping up the Sutter Roofing job in Tampa which is our Notable Project this quarter. Dave Horrell has been slab sawing for Prince Contracting on the I-75/SR-60 Project in Brandon which consists of saw cutting close to 100,000’ linear feet of 4” asphalt and 10” concrete slab. Jason Spinks, Brad Anderson, Chris Smith, Dennis Harper and Dave Horrell have also just finished the first of six phases working on the TIA Runway Project for GLF Contracting. The scope is saw cutting 26,000’ and core drilling 100 @ 24” diameter holes all in the 18” and 24” taxiway slab. Ray Solis and Clifford Hughes have also just started a nice job for The Conlan Company in Ocala. The TPA-6 Project scope is for cutting and removal of 50 dock leveler walls 10’ wide x 2’ tall in 8” tilt walls. This is the perfect job for Ray to get his practice hand-sawing and chain-sawing now that he is out on his own. Jose Rivera has also just finished the cutting of 44 dock leveler walls for ARCO Murray on the Centerstate Project in Lakeland. Lastly, Juwan Wilson has been keeping up with multiple service work jobs and we are glad to have the work coming in. To our customers and friends, we appreciate you calling on us for work. We hope all is well and that we get past this soon. Until next time! #tampabay #construction #concretecutting
